OSLO TRANSPORT - OSLO TRANSPORTATION NORWAY

Oslo Transportation - The public transportation is very good and decently priced. The Norwegian State Railways (NSB) is a rail system that many residents as well as visitors ride to get around Oslo. You can find more information about them at 47 8150 0888. There is also the T-Bane metro system which has five lines - only underground some of the time, many of the stations are above ground. There are buses aswell and over thirty routes run through the centre of Oslo.

Travel Guide

A fun way for tourists is by ferry and there are many ferries that go from Town Hall Square to suburbs and to the islands in Oslofjord. This is a great way to get up close to the fjords.

You will also have access to taxis.

Fares are reasonable on public transport and a good way to do it is to buy a flexi-card of eight trips. There is also the Oslo card which gives you unlimited travel but also admission to lots of places free, discounts in other places and special rates for car hire, ski hire etc - see section on Tourist Information of this Guide.
